Brian Kean is a highly accomplished tennis and pickleball professional with over 20 years of coaching, leadership, and program-building experience. He is the owner and director of Eastside Athletic Club, where he coaches players of all ages and levels, while also organizing leagues, tournaments, special events, and high-performance training programs.

Brian has coached high school tennis for 16 years and serves as the Varsity Boys’ Tennis Coach at Grosse Pointe South High School, where his teams have consistently competed at the highest levels, earning league championships, regional titles, and top finishes at the MHSAA State Finals. His coaching philosophy emphasizes accountability, competitive toughness, and long-term player development.

In addition to scholastic tennis, Brian is one of the most active USTA captains in the country, having organized and coached over 200 adult travel teams across multiple levels and formats. His teams have advanced from local leagues to State, Midwest Sectional, and National Championships, earning multiple national podium finishes.

Brian also serves on the USTA Adult League Committee, contributing to league growth, policy decisions, and player experience across Southeast Michigan. He has been recognized as Coach of the Year (2023 & 2024) for his leadership, results, and commitment to the tennis community.
